The word Poke itself is actually the Hawaiian verb for “section” or to “slice or cut”. Traditionally Poke is made from cuts of tuna or octopus, but with the growing demand for this popular chefs have become creative by including all types of seafood from Salmon and Shrimp to even Yellowtail.
